BoingBoing take on the perennial myth of redhead extinction in a short piece, which includes a link to a Stanford University piece with a simple explanation of red hair and recessive genes. Good to know that the world won’t be deprived of redheads for a while yet.

  1. Being one of four siblings, all with red hair and freckles and both parents with brown hair (one with fair skin and other with fair skin and freckles), I found this article solved a family mystery. It’s comforting to know my dear mother wasn’t extra friendly with the same milkman!
